The Anchorage House Hauntings!
*Taken 4 days after Halloween-2009 . The night was clear & 72 degrees, no fog or steam , no other light sources, and no breeze to speak of. This photo was the middle-shot of a series of three continuous photo frames (about 1.5 seconds apart) taken by the owner (John George) the night before he was about to take down the decorations for the season. The other two frames contained nothing.unusual. * If you look closely, it does somewhat appear to be a side-angle shot of a man's face *(note the nose at bottom of photo & what appear to be eye sockets just above, as well as eyebrows & possibly hair).
These photos were taken by our daughter Rose on her camera phone after being awakened in her bed at 3am by our Schnauzer 'Heidi' (sleeping with her) who was barking at something floating above Rose in her bed. These two shots were about 3 seconds apart. Again, no outside or inside light sources, reflections, electrical devices in use, etc.
* We have several more to add as time goes on and will be posting/updating as they become available.
On Friday night, July 22nd, 2011 between 8:30pm & 2:30am-Bedford Paranormal investigated The Anchorage House to execute their first of several paranormal investigations within this historic manor home and recorded several 'unusual' & 'unexplainable' sounds (someone 'whistling', a baby crying, etc) as well as some unknown ' voices' that appeared to answer some random questions put forth by members during the investigation but were not heard until detailed sound analysis several days later. The team utilized state-of-the-art digital cameras, video, and sound detection/recording devices, as well as ambient therometers, EMF sensors, and green lazer grids. Any explainable sound was eliminated and the group is certain that these unexplained sounds were not caused by any group member or other known logical source. The team was, unfortunately, unable to capture any photographic evidence on this particular visit, but will be returning in the next month or so as four of the second floor rooms were not yet safely available to enter on their initail visit. Keep posted to our website for more 'ghostly' developments!!
1- *The following EVP sound was recorded in the original hand-dug cellar of the house by two of the paranormal team members. During their investigation, one member asked another if he thought an additional recording device should be utilized. The other member was apparently at the far end of the house's cellar to hear the question put to him and failed to answer at the time. After a later analysis of the the recording was conducted, a 'ghostly' voice could be heard saying ' I-dont-care'....apparently answering the team member's original question for him! (*Hint-you may need to turn the volume up on your computer speaker and/or use headphones to make out the voice). *Please be completely assured that these recordings have in NO WAY been altered, faked, tampered with, or enhanced in any way!
There are more ghostly voices and sounds to come!! The remainder of the audio recordings are currently being digitized to make them easier to hear online and will be added very soon! Keep checking our site for more to come as Bedford Paranormal resumes their continual investigation of The Anchorage House!
* We are also receiving contacts from other state & regional paranormal investigattion teams (as well as Gettysburg, PA!) who have expressed an interest in investigating our historic manor home! We will keep you advised as things develop!
2- This EVP spound was recorded in the Sleeping Porch area. After a detailed analysis of the audio several days later, the recorder captured what appeared to the team to be the sounds like an 'infant crying'. There were no children in the home at the time of the investigation. (*Hint-you may need to turn the volume up on your computer speaker and/or use headphones to make out what appears to be 'baby crying' sounds).
